Preparing for disasters (what we can do now)
- Prepare an emergency bag (prepared for escaping from your home to a safe place).

Earthquake
In an earthquake, the ground shakes greatly. Furniture can fall over and houses and buildings can break.
Before the earthquake
- Fix furniture and home appliances so that they will not fall over.
- Keep dishes and books from falling.
- When you go to bed, keep thick slippers and emergency carry-out bags (prepared for getting away from your home in a safe place) nearby.
When an earthquake occurs

You can sit under the futon or go under the desk and protect your head with a cushion. Watch out for falling from above. - After the shaking has subsided

typhoon
The typhoon has a lot of rain and a strong wind. There are times when river water overflows and signboards fly in strong winds.
Before the typhoon
- Check recent weather information.
- Before the typhoon approaches, check the safety around the house.
We put things that are likely to be blown into the wind into the house and close the shutters and curtains.
When a typhoon comes
- If you feel in danger, run away early.
- Check the evacuation information on the website.

Volcano
Before the volcano erupted
- Get to know the local volcano.
- Pay attention to eruption warnings and crater warnings (information about volcanic activity announced by the Japan Meteorological Agency).
- Wear a helmet when climbing the volcano.
When a volcano erupted
- If you receive an evacuation instruction or recommendation, get away as soon as possible.
- When evacuating, put on a hat, put a towel on your mouth and hurry away from the crater.

When it snows
- Try not to go out as much as possible.
- When you go outside, wear non-slip shoes.
- Bicycles and motorbikes are easy to fall, so do not ride them.
- Please be careful when removing snow. Attach a rope to your body and put on a helmet to prevent it from falling off the roof.
- When working, two people or more are required so that they can be helped in dangerous situations.
- When it is clear, snow falls from the roof. Keep away from the roof.
